Group Discussion: Your Data Treasure Trove

Your Data Treasure Trove

Does your campus recognize the treasure trove of data residing in the card system?  Is that data being used for student interventions or campus enhancements?  No matter your answers, let’s talk about what we have, your methods for sharing it, and just how useful it can be to our campus communities.

Discussion questions:

  • Are you aware of the data governance policies on your campus?
  • What data is your office collecting?  Reporting?  Sharing?
  • Does your office have a ‘seat at the table’ when bringing together data at your campus?
  • How is the data from your system being used?  Student Interventions?  Campus Improvements?

Facilitators:

Kim Pfeffer, Emory University
Greg Jonason, University of Houston
